Oregon Coast Salmon Recovery Domain

The Oregon Coast Salmon Recovery Domain includes rivers and lakes along the coast of the Pacific Ocean from the Necanicum River near Seaside on the north to the Sixes River near Port Orford on the south. All river systems, except the Umpqua River, drain from the crest of the Coast Mountain Range. The area covers cities along the coast and inland, including Tillamook, Lincoln City, Newport, Florence, Coos Bay and Roseburg. There are Federal, state and private forest lands and agricultural lands within the domain. It also includes one ESA-listed salmon species: Oregon Coast coho. NOAA Fisheries West Coast Region manages recovery planning and implementation for this region through its Oregon & Washington Coastal Area Office.
