Duwamish-Green Hatcheries PEPD Available

Public comment period open through May 2, 2019.

NOAA Fisheries is making available for public review its proposed evaluation and pending determination (PEPD) on 10 hatchery programs in the Duwamish-Green River basin of Puget Sound, in Washington State. The programs are described in Hatchery and Genetics Management Plans (HGMPs) (see below), prepared by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, and Suquamish Tribe (the co-managers).

Public comments on the PEPD will be considered prior to our determination on the 10 programs. The public comment period is open for 30 days beginning April 2, 2019, and closing May 2, 2019. Please see the FR notice below for details on comment submission.

All of the plans have been submitted to NOAA Fisheries for review under Limit 6 of the Endangered Species Act section 4(d) rule for salmon and steelhead.
