West Fork Timber Habitat Conservation Plan

This HCP was signed in June 1995 with a 100-year term. The multi-species agreement covers 49,000 acres of timber lands in southwestern Washington State. Watershed prescriptions to protect unstable slopes and correct roads that deliver sediments to streams are being implemented according to outcomes of specific analyses.

NOAA Fisheries Service didn't issue an incidental take permit nor do a biological opinion because listed fish were not present in the covered area when the plan was signed. (West Fork was Murray Pacific Corporation when the HCP became effective.)

The habitat conservation plan and associated documents are very large files. Please e-mail wcr.webcontent@noaa.gov to request a CD of these documents, and include your name and full mailing address.
