Sacramento River
The Sacramento River Basin Branch is located in the Central Valley Office in Sacramento, California. The branch has responsibility for salmon, steelhead, and green sturgeon conservation and recovery north of the Sacramento/San Joaquin River Delta, including waters of the Sacramento River and its tributaries. Key waterways include the Sacramento River; Clear, Battle, Cow, Antelope, Mill, Deer, Big Chico and Butte creeks; the Feather, Yuba, Bear and American rivers; and Redding, Sacramento, Roseville, and Placer County streams. The branch also covers scientific research permits, flood management, California Department of Transportation and highway infrastructure projects, conservation banking and In-lieu fee programs and habitat conservation planning for the entire Central Valley.
