Upper Willamette River Conservation and Recovery Plan for Chinook Salmon and Steelhead

August 05, 2011

The goal of ESA recovery under this plan is to improve the viability of these salmon and steelhead, and the ecosystems upon which they depend, to the point that they no longer require ESA protection.

This Recovery Plan serves as both a recovery plan under the Federal Endangered Species Act (ESA) and as a State of Oregon conservation Plan under Oregon’s Native Fish Conservation Policy (NFCP). The Plan provides a framework and roadmap for the conservation and recovery of ESA listing units for Chinook salmon and steelhead species in the Willamette River system of Oregon.
