Killer Whale Activities

Public attitudes are a major part of the success or failure of conservation efforts for most endangered species, especially those occurring near major population centers. Killer whales are culturally valued, charismatic mega-fauna and icons on the West Coast of North America. Connecting the plight of the Southern Resident killer whale population to human activities is still needed.  We strive to increase awareness about the biology, behavior, conservation status, and knowledge of marine ecosystems in order to strengthen community support and influence human behaviors that impact these animals and our watesheds. Below you will find our new units distributed by target audience, however many of the resources can be modified for any age.
